CoopNet

The CoopNet network is an informal group of agricultural cooperatives that want to take part in learning and networking. CoopNet is also a community of experts in setting up and running agricultural cooperatives. They support collaboration among farmers in Romania and help create and maintain associative structures. These experts work to improve the professional skills of cooperative members and develop information and learning resources for them.

The CoopNet expert network covers:
– facilitating and setting up cooperatives (incubation);
– getting cooperatives running and professionalizing members (start-up);
– strengthening activity and increasing sales through the cooperative, and reaching new markets (scale-up);
– public representation of cooperatives’ interests (lobby and advocacy).
