This material was prepared by the Civitas Foundation for Civil Society Cluj (the lead of the consortium of organisations that started and support the CoopNet network), in order to encourage national branch unions to continue and to contribute to a better organised agricultural cooperative sector in Romania. The National Branch Union of Cooperatives in the Crop Sector (UNCSV) is the most important representative body for agricultural cooperatives active in the crop sector. UNCSV represents and defends their interests in relations with public administration, state authorities, other natural or legal persons, public or private, national and international bodies, and equivalent international associations, in order to support and promote cooperative principles.
