Study on selling milk through a vending machine
Fundația Civitas pentru Societatea Civilă Cluj

In modern farming, farmers face increasingly complex challenges around economic sustainability and competitiveness. The milk market is volatile, with changing prices, fierce competition and ever higher consumer demands for the quality and traceability of dairy products. Farmers are looking for ways to add value to what they produce, to have a more direct relationship with consumers, and to improve their margins.
One solution identified in the market is to buy and use milk vending machines. This equipment lets farmers sell raw or pasteurised milk directly to consumers, cutting out intermediaries and obtaining a higher price per litre. At the same time, consumers get fresh milk that has not been processed industrially, which they can buy close to where it was produced.
